Shimano Sustain FJ 4000, Reel

Shimano Sustain FJ is a very strong spinning reel with Shimano's patented MGL Rotor, which provides a smooth "crank start" without the reel feeling sluggish the first few crank strokes. A Hagane body that can handle both fresh and salt water with ease. Shimano Sustain has become significantly lighter than its predecessor and has been given a Long Stroke spool that gives you significantly longer casts.

Shimano Sustain FJ has MicroModule II shifting and cold-forged Hagane Gear for silky smooth reeling. 8 ball bearings and a roller bearing that are of course fully encapsulated make fishing in real salt water no problem.

The 2500-3000 sizes are perfect for everything from sea trout fishing to perch in any lake, while the 4000 model is cut and trimmed for pike and shallow water cod.
