Collection: Spinning Reels

The reel is a smooth and easy-to-use fishing reel that is suitable for both beginners and professionals. A reel is always mounted on the underside of the rod, which makes the equipment comfortable and balanced to fish with. When you are about to cast, you grab the line with your index finger and fold the line bail. Unlike the multi-reel, the line is unwound (hence the name) from a stationary line spool during the cast itself. Then you fold the bail back, with your hand or crank, to be able to retrieve the line/bait, make a counterattack and fight the fish. Simple and smooth!

The main difference between different reels, besides size, is the placement of the braking system. The advantage of a front brake is a smoother and stronger braking effect. On the other hand, it is easier to access the brake during the fight on a rear-braked reel. Choose what you prioritize.

Another advantage of the reel is the ability to easily change the spool, in an instant you can switch to a different type of line or dimension.

What size reel should you choose?

UL/1000/10 – is a good size reel for rainbow trout, trout, grayling and perch.
2500/25/30 – is a good size reel for sea trout, jig fishing for perch, and lighter pike fishing.
4000/40/30 – heavier fishing for e.g. pike and salmon, but also sea trout.
5000 and up – sea fishing in Norway for cod, saithe and whiting.
