A classic from the West Coast that means you don't have to have a hook on the horn paved.

The horn pike stuck with its teeth in the finely gaunt yarn if you attach where the hook would normally sit.

The horn pike can then easily be "hooked off" without the risk of getting stuck in three hooks and splashing fish.
