Jigs for Cod and Mackerel. Classic color scheme for the Nordic seas/waters. The choice of jig is very important for fishing success. A heavy tubular jig sinks quickly to the bottom which can be good when fishing on wrecks for Cod, for example. As Mackerel often goes higher up in the water, a lighter flat jig is better as it sinks slower.

This jig is perfect for both cod and mackerel. These jigs can also be supplemented with tackle/hooks - these are mounted above the jig and come in many varieties, however, the most important and decisive factor for which fish will bite is usually the hook size. Cod is good with large hooks while mackerel prefers smaller ones.
