This hook is specially designed for use with stiff hooklink materials and rig presentations such as the chod rig or hinged stiff rig, but it also works well with other pop-up presentations.

It features an out-turned eye to create a smooth and natural curve from the hooklink to the hook when using stiff presentations. The rest of the shape is based on the iconic Wide Gape model, but manufactured with slightly thicker wire.

It is an incredibly strong hook, as Darrell Peck can attest after catching carp over 70 lb with the size 8 version. The slightly curved point is very sharp, and the barb is dimensioned so that it does not hinder penetration but helps the hook sit securely once it has taken hold.
