Traditional Pear Leads are an excellent all-round lead, and this flat version has several advantages.
The weight distribution is still concentrated towards the front end of the lead, but the flat sides make it perform much better when casting in places where the bottom is not completely flat, such as slopes by islands or edges, or the sides of gravel banks and plateaus.
It is suitable for use in both lakes and flowing waters.
