The Kurv Shank is a very versatile hook that can be used for both pop-up and bottom bait rigs, including popular presentations like the KD rig and the IQ D-rig. It has excellent hooking properties thanks to an aggressively in-turned eye and a curved shank, which helps it to turn and take hold inside the fish's mouth – even when used without shrink tubing or a Kicker. The hooking effect is further enhanced by its long, needle-sharp point.

It is also available in a barbless version. For those who fish in extreme conditions, especially in other parts of Europe, there is also a Kurv Shank XX, which has the same shape and features but is made from significantly thicker wire.
