Chopped boilies are very effective because they not only act as bait that behaves differently from round baits when fish eat, but also stay where you place them – especially on sloping bottoms where whole boilies might otherwise roll away. Halved boilies also have the advantage of often resting on top of vegetation or silt instead of sinking into it.

Splitting boilies by hand can be both time-consuming and difficult, but with the Kutter, it's easy. You fill it with boilies and then use a plunger to push them through a stainless steel "blade" at the other end, which perfectly splits them in half. If you want smaller pieces, you can run them through the Kutter multiple times.
