The Heli-Safe System is brilliant for use with all types of helicopter rigs, whether you're fishing with a traditional rig or a chod, and is now also available as a ready-tied leader. These 50 cm long leaders are made from the new Tight Weave Kable Leadcore and are ready to use straight out of the packet.

The 50 cm version is not only perfect for keeping everything tight to the bottom and protecting the fish from line damage during the fight, but is also ideal for long casts. This type of leader has excellent anti-tangle properties and is also very fish-safe thanks to the integrated Mini Heli-Safe System – a more compact version of the original – which ensures that the lead detaches when needed.

It is also equipped with our No-Trace Safety System, which ensures that the hooklink can easily be released from the leader if the main line should break. Each pack also contains two extra No-Trace Beads (which can also be purchased separately if needed).

The upper rubber part of the No-Trace Safety System can be positioned close to the lead when fishing over clean bottom, or moved all the way up to the other end of the leader when fishing over vegetation or debris – especially when using chod rigs.

The Mini Heli-Safe can be adjusted in different ways depending on the fishing situation. The standard spring releases the lead with minimal resistance and ensures it is dropped on a take – perfect in dense vegetation. It can also be replaced with the red spring (two included), which is intended for waters that are largely free of obstacles and vegetation, where you only want the lead to detach if it gets snagged.

There is also the option of using a collar (two included) which ensures the lead never detaches, but in the event of a line break, the fish can still free itself thanks to the No-Trace Safety System.

A size 11 QC Ring Swivel makes rig changes quick and easy, and a spliced loop at one end makes it easy to attach the leader to the main line – the loop-to-loop method is the easiest and fastest.

Kable Heli-Safe Leadcore Leaders are available in Gravel Brown or Weed/Silt colours. Each pack contains two leaders plus:
