Korda has now added a PTFE-coated version of their incredibly popular Ring Swivels, designed to ensure they rotate even more freely. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) has one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid material, making it perfect as a coating on swivels as it reduces friction between the barrel and the eye. The freer they can spin, the less risk of tangles, and in addition, some rigs can become more effective at hooking fish.
PTFE Ring Swivels are perfect for use with helicopter rigs, hinged stiff rigs, and many other types of rigs. They are available in size 8 or 11, and each pack contains eight swivels.
