The main problem with many braided mainlines is that they don’t sink particularly well, and whilst that property can be an advantage in some situations, there are plenty of times when it isn’t – and that is where SUB Braid really comes into its own.

This braid sinks incredibly well, but still gives you all of the advantages of a braid, including zero stretch, which gives you far more feel when you are searching for a good drop, or even plumbing around with your rods to find a spot instead of having to get the marker float out.

It isn’t as thin as some other braids, but that is exactly what gives it its excellent sinking properties, and makes it very strong and durable – whilst still casting very well.

As with any braided mainline, it is best to use some form of fused leader, leadcore or tubing to prevent the line coming into direct contact with the flanks of a fish.
