The rod is equipped with the most common type of screw reel seat, whose popularity over several decades is due to its simple and reliable construction. The reel is attached with two plastic parts, one of which is secured with a sturdy lock nut.
The guides are made of silicon carbide (SIC), one of the most widely used materials due to its low weight and durable surface. Their excellent physical properties also make them ideal for use with braided lines, where they effectively resist high friction forces.
