The Aero Technium MgS is Shimano's top-of-the-line long-casting model. If you are an angler who wants the very best, without compromise, look no further – this is the reel for you.

In pursuit of perfection, Shimano has reinterpreted the future of ultra-long casting reels, combining a new spool design with their world-renowned Super Slow 10 Oscillation for the first time. It's a combination that is both seen and felt, especially when casting your leads towards the horizon. It not only casts further than anything else you've experienced, but with Shimano's top technology, it also feels silky smooth and powerful in use.

The list of features is impressive: every available Shimano technology has been integrated.

• HAGANE Body in magnesium – incredibly lightweight yet extremely durable

• HAGANE Gear and X-SHIP for maximum strength

• Infinity Drive and Silent Drive for increased winding power, smoothness, and durability

• A one-piece Titanium Bail Arm that perfectly guides the line to the roller

• X-Protect for water protection

The most prominent feature is the spool with 45mm stroke and Super Slow 10 Oscillation, which together minimize line friction during casting. To achieve even more casting distance, Rigid Cast has increased the shaft's strength for less bending under maximum power.

Shimano's new class-leading, super-slim, and incredibly long-casting superstar. Cast Far, Cast Accurate.

The Aero Technium MgS has long had a reputation as the best long-casting reel that can handle all weather conditions. With phenomenal casting performance balanced with smooth, reliable, and balanced retrieval, the new XTD/XSD models once again raise the bar and cement their position as the pinnacle of Shimano's reel technology and the ultimate tool for long-distance casting.

When the target species is out of reach for many other anglers, the biggest advantage of these reels is their ability to assist with extreme casts towards the horizon and effectively present baits in the strike zone. These long casts are further enhanced when the reel is combined with one of Shimano's specimen rods, such as the TX Ultra A, which pairs perfectly.

Furthermore, with iconic dark aesthetic details and subtle chrome highlights on the XTE, and a floating metallic finish on the XSE, these reels are true works of art and a delight to behold while awaiting the next bite in your fishing session.
