Sømmet literally means nail – but don’t let the bait’s unassuming appearance fool you. This inline bait is not only long-casting, it’s also a long-time favorite among many seasoned coastal trout fishermen in Scandinavia. In the water, Sømmet swims like a sandeel – often the sea trout’s most important prey fish – and is a brutal fish catcher in shallow water!

Rigging Tip: Thread the line through the bait and use a small round or oval bead on the line to protect the knot before tying a single or treble hook of your choice. If you prefer a free-swivel hook, we recommend mounting the hook in an oval spring ring and tying it where the wire is double.
