W3 Smokey Grey Braided Line has been developed for sea trout and saltwater anglers looking for a superior braided line. Our innovative construction provides a line that combines maximum strength and abrasion resistance with a super smooth finish. Made from premium Japanese Ultra High Molecular Polyethylene (UHMPE) fibers with an 8X design.

Westin W3 Smokey Grey Braid uses a 32 weave per inch construction for a smoother surface and increased abrasion resistance. Sea trout and saltwater anglers require a line with extra stiffness to avoid wind knots often caused by repeated casts in strong onshore winds. To provide more stiffness, W3 Smokey Grey features a double Dura-Coating, a process that gives the braided line a smoother, hydrophobic surface, reducing both water absorption and friction. For maximum color stability, W3 Smokey Grey is soaked in dye tanks before being cured in an oven to "bake in" the pigments and finally the line is sealed with a double gelcoat for improved longevity.
