Westin W6 8 Braid Braided Line, Lime Punch 135m

Achieving the perfect combination of attributes in a braided line is an alchemy that requires repeated refinement and testing to produce the final product. W6 Braid has been developed using a unique construction process for all-round spinning fishing. Westin has utilized premium Japanese UHMPE (Ultra High Molecular Polyethylene) fibers in the construction of W6 Braid due to their incredible performance and strength. To achieve higher abrasion resistance and more strength, W6 Braid is constructed using a special weaving technique for this line that we call “Advanced High PIC”. This 8X (eight fiber) braided line has a 36 PIC construction (braids per inch) which provides a stronger line for its diameter.

The tighter weave through “Advanced High PIC” also provides a smooth surface for longer and more precise casts. Casting performance is further improved by a Dura-Coating gel whose process gives the braided line a smoother, hydrophobic surface, which reduces water absorption and reduces friction. To achieve color stability, W6 Braid is soaked in dye tanks before being cured in an oven to “bake in” the pigments before finally being sealed with a Dura-Coat for improved longevity.
